Pulse MQTT — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 16 July 2026

Pulse MQTT is a client for reading MQTT brokers. This policy explains what data the app handles. In short: Pulse MQTT has no servers of its own, collects no analytics, and does not track you.

Data stored on your device

The app stores the following locally on your device only:

None of this data is transmitted to us or to any third party, except as described below. Deleting the app removes all of it.

MQTT connections

When you connect to an MQTT broker, the app communicates directly with the broker address you provide. The messages you receive stay between your device and that broker. We never see this traffic.

Optional AI insights (Anthropic)

Pulse MQTT includes an optional "Explain with AI" feature. It is disabled unless you provide your own Anthropic API key. When you use it, the selected topic name and its recent messages are sent directly from your device to Anthropic's API (api.anthropic.com) using your key, in order to generate an explanation. This happens only when you tap the button. Your use of Anthropic's API is subject to Anthropic's privacy policy. If you never enter a key, no data ever leaves your device for this purpose.

No analytics or tracking

Pulse MQTT contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. We do not collect a device identifier, usage statistics, or personal information.

Children

Pulse MQTT is a developer/technical tool and is not directed at children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new date.
