Pulse MQTT — Support

Pulse MQTT is a native app for reading and monitoring MQTT brokers on iPhone and iPad — a live topic tree, message feed, per-topic charts and history, and optional AI insights.

Getting started

  1. Tap + to add a broker (host and port), or use Try a public test broker to connect to test.mosquitto.org.
  2. Tap the broker to connect. Watch the live feed, or open Topics to browse the topic tree.
  3. Tap any message to see its decoded fields, metadata and per-topic history.

Connecting to your own broker

Enter the broker's host or IP and port (1883 for plain, 8883 for TLS). Add a username and password if required. WebSocket brokers are supported via the WebSocket toggle. For self-signed TLS certificates, enable "Allow self-signed certificate".

AI insights

The "Explain with AI" feature is optional and requires your own Anthropic API key, which you enter under the gear icon → Settings. Create a key at console.anthropic.com. The key is stored securely on your device and used only to explain topics you choose.

Charts & favorites

Star a topic to keep a longer history and see it at the top of the Topics tab. For numeric or JSON payloads, open a topic to see a chart; pick which field to plot. Export a topic's history as CSV or JSON from the share button.
